What a tragedy..

I live for love, and no it’s not just the title of a song but it’s what centers my universe. If you had to ask me what I believe in Love would be in that long list as well as God, perseverance and hard work amongst other things. I cannot even for one day imagine my life without my better half. Thinking of what Oscar Pistorius “did” and I use (“)because we could never possibly know what happened between the two of them until his trial which is in March next year – that’s if it doesn’t get postponed , we all know how things in this country work .I just cannot for the life of me imagine hurting the one I love even when iam raged with anger but to load a gun and start shooting at them is one of the most cruel things on earth. We have all seen the newspaper articles that make us believe that he couldn’t have had possibly shot her thinking she was an intruder. He lives in a secure estate where security is tight how could the burglar have gotten access so easily .Iam no lawyer but I  cant the ignore  fact that there was a bloody bat and that neighbors heard screams hours before the horrific incident took place. http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2013/08/25/witnesses-expected-to-testify-about-oscar-pistorius-temper-use-guns-in-murder/Damage control which is just another word for public relations was used so well after news of this incident took place, one of the biggest pr firms are handling Oscars case. The family had even appointed an uncle to handle the media because they know how important it is to speak in one voice.Press releses as well as them trying to pay for the funeral were all just tactics to make the public fell sorry for the double amputee athlete. I don’t really care if he killed her on purpose but he has to be responsible.

It Was Just A Mistake.

In happier times

Being the gossip freak that Iam I couldn’t just let the Vavi story or rather Scandal go without giving it my two cents worth comment. I think it’s really sad how these prominent people are abused by the media. Being a media student I understand what goes into making a story a good one, I mean the point of selling papers is to make profit, even though you bend the truth a little and pray you won’t get sued. People need to understand that the media set an agenda when they publish a story they usually want to steer our minds in a certain direction.
The Cosatu hearing has not even concluded but already we are judging the man .

I can understand because the media’s function is to be the watch dogs of society but at times they jump to conclusions, a few weeks back remember reading that Mr Vavi was being threatened and his family advised him to quit his job for his own safety and then BAM the next thing he is accused of rape, how far will they go to get rid of the man.Dont these girls know that accusing a prominent man of rape won’t get you anywhere? You just make the rest of us decent girls look bad. The media tries manage expectations and to also be the gatekeepers of society and since we all gullible we just fall for it, let’s Take it easy on him guys.
