It Was Just A Mistake.

In happier times

Being the gossip freak that Iam I couldn’t just let the Vavi story or rather Scandal go without giving it my two cents worth comment. I think it’s really sad how these prominent people are abused by the media. Being a media student I understand what goes into making a story a good one, I mean the point of selling papers is to make profit, even though you bend the truth a little and pray you won’t get sued. People need to understand that the media set an agenda when they publish a story they usually want to steer our minds in a certain direction.
The Cosatu hearing has not even concluded but already we are judging the man .

I can understand because the media’s function is to be the watch dogs of society but at times they jump to conclusions, a few weeks back remember reading that Mr Vavi was being threatened and his family advised him to quit his job for his own safety and then BAM the next thing he is accused of rape, how far will they go to get rid of the man.Dont these girls know that accusing a prominent man of rape won’t get you anywhere? You just make the rest of us decent girls look bad. The media tries manage expectations and to also be the gatekeepers of society and since we all gullible we just fall for it, let’s Take it easy on him guys. 6. Or maybe the girl didn't get what she wanted from the affair so she decided to shout rape #justsaying. Will never get to the bottom of this, only the two know what went down between them.

  7. There is a code of conduct that says that employees should not sleep together. So they both knew that they were acting against the code of conduct.

    1. Iam no judge here , but simply someone who is saying that we should give him a break and look at things from a broad perspective. How is what he did a reflection of all his skills and capabilities?

  9. Firstly Vavi was suppose to follow the right protocol regarding recruiting the lady, Secondly now that he knew people were out for him he should have tried to do things right and yes he is not perfect and thirdly he must be happy that he still have people behind him.

    1. Really agree with you on that one following the right protocol would have made him look less guilty in all of this.He has done a lot for those who cant stand up for themelves and i like him for that.
